Bucktown Vintage Single Family
This client went from the Big Apple to the Windy City in search of an old vintage house they could make their own and call home. From the very beginning, these clients knew this house could become their home. The couple fell in love with the neighborhood but the house didn’t yet reflect their personality. A plethora of builder-grade decisions was rectified by strategic architectural finish changes including saturating virtually every surface in the home with color. Stone finishes were changed throughout, moulding was added to make the stairwell feel more impressive and purposeful and all of the fixtures in the home were changed to reflect the clients’ progressive chic taste. The master bedroom steals the show with grasscloth wallcovering and a masterful blend of textiles and materials. The entire home has a cohesive feeling that truly reflects the personality of these two dynamic men.
