A long-time friend of the NMI team, these empty nesters were looking to create a chic city home downtown after decades in Evanston. The clients hired NMI to work with the development company on all of the interior work including finish selections and reconfiguring some of the interior architecture. NMI transitioned a full bath to a powder room and turned a proposed closed-off study into a dynamic drybar that connects the public spaces to the private bedrooms and study. Additionally, we redesigned the electrical plan for the home to include task-specific lighting and art lights throughout to highlight the client’s impressive art collection.
